Our baby black ram has survived so far. His sister was killed by coyotes before she saw her second day.  We moved Samson and his ma into an enclosed stall for a few days.  Now they are out and about.  We had three other lambs born last week, but they were too weak — very small and did not last more than a day.  Let’s hope Samson avoids the dangers and grows strong!

Finally, after nearly 8 weeks of waiting, many of them without access to the second bathroom, kitchen or laundry facilities, we have our new/old kitchen. The goal was to restore what was the old butchering or workroom into a kitchen with a rustic 1800s feel.  Our former kitchen became a full bath and laundry room. We also restored the summer kitchen portion of the home into a mudroom. The results…
